Delete Your Account

You can delete your Iroh account and the data we hold about it at any time. There are two ways to do this: from inside the app, or by emailing us if you no longer have access to the app. This page also explains exactly what gets deleted and how long it takes.

Delete from inside the app

This is the fastest way and is available on both iOS and Android:

Open the Iroh app.
Go to Settings.
Tap Delete account and confirm.

Your account and the server-side data tied to it are deleted. This action cannot be undone.

Request deletion by email

If you no longer have access to the app, you can request deletion by email. Send a message to info@askiroh.ai from the email address associated with your account, and ask us to delete your account. We may need to confirm that you control the account before we process the request.

What gets deleted

When your account is deleted, we remove your account identity and all server-side data associated with it, including:

Your account identity (email and display name).
Your entitlement record (free or paid status).
Your app configuration and settings.
Your daily brief preferences.
Your device push tokens.
Your usage and analytics events.
Your cost events.
Your research results.
Your brain-build records.
Your AI-consent record.

Your brain (notes and pages)

Your brain, meaning your notes and wiki pages, does not live on our servers. It is stored as files on your device, and optionally in your own iCloud or Google Drive if you chose to sync it there. Deleting your account does not touch those files. To remove them, use Delete brain and start over in the app, or uninstall the app from your device. Files kept in your own iCloud or Google Drive remain under your control and can be deleted there.

How long it takes

In-app deletion takes effect immediately. Email requests are processed within 30 days of us confirming the request. Once complete, the server-side data listed above is removed and cannot be recovered.
